FAQ

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:

 

•We will continue to use our current and effective high level disinfectants to sanitize beds, all common spaces and equipment. As per Health Canada and BC Fraser Health requirements. 

 

•We ask all our clients, please refrain from bringing kids, friends or family members along with you to your appointments. We are not allowing more then one person in our treatment rooms. Your guest will be asked to wait in their vehicle.

 

•We ask that you please wear a mask into your appointment. You will be guided to take it off when it is safe to do so. Our staff will be equipped with face shields, gloves, and masks.  We have updated our facility with large plastic dividers/ shields at our front desk area. We will be cleaning common areas frequently.

 

•All lash, and teeth whitening services will not be provided until it is safer to do so. We hope to resume these two services by July 1, 2020. 

 

 

  • We ask all visitors to use our hand hygiene stations or sinks when they enter and exit our facilities.

  • Hand hygiene stations and sinks are located inside our facility and we ask that you use the alcohol-based hand rub so that you don’t bring any germs into the spa, nor take any home.

  • Please read and follow Covid -19 information posters located at the entrance. If you need help or further information, ask one of the staff at 604-374-2066

 

 

  • If you have any of the following, please do not visit at this time:

    • Vomiting or diarrhea

    • Cough or flu-like symptoms

    • Fever

    • Rash

    • Please let us know before your appointment if you have recently traveled or have been in contact with covid 19, as your appointment will be reschedule to a later date. 

Question: Should I do anything before my Laser appointment?

​

  1. Shave the area one day prior to treatment

  2. No perfume, lotion, deodorants, or cologne on the treatment area prior to procedure

  3. Remove all makeup before the procedure

  4. Do NOT tan or expose the treatment area to sunlight 2 weeks prior to procedure

  5. No waxing threading, tweezing or use of any chemical depilatories or bleach the area before and while undergoing treatment sessions.

Question:Is Their any down time with microneedling?

There is little-to-no downtime associated with SkinPen microneedling treatments, and most clients can return to normal activities within 24 hours. You may experience a sensation similar to that of a sunburn immediately following treatment, but this should resolve quickly. You will be sent home with a home care kit that is included with every microneedling purchase. Depending on your skin condition and the concern being addressed, a series of 3 treatments spaced 30 days apart may initially be recommended for best results. SkinPen microneedling effectively treats acne scars, wrinkles and fine lines, and improves skin texture and tone on all body parts, including the face, neck and décolletage. Following your treatment you can expect firmer, smoother skin, with results lasting up to 6 months.

Question: Is there anything I need to do after I receive my Laser treatment?

  1. No exposure to sunlight for 1-2 days. Use sunblock (SPF 30 or more) and re apply every 2 hours.

  2. No deodorants, perfumes, perfumed lotion, cologne or any cream that may irritate the treatment area for 1-2 days after procedure

  3. No strenuous exercise that causes excessive sweating for 1-2 days after procedure.

  4. No hot bath/ swimming pool 1-2 days after your procedure.

Question: Does microneedling hurt?

Prior to your micro needling session you will be allowed to decide if you want topical numbing cream.  The topical numbing agent makes the SkinPen procedure comfortable and relatively pain-free. Most people report feeling just the slight vibration of SkinPen during the procedure.

Question: How does IPL Laser work?

IPL skin rejuvenation treatments are performed using a handheld device that delivers a broad spectrum of light onto the skin’s surface. The wavelengths of light penetrate deep into the skin tissue to stimulate the cells beneath the skin’s surface and trigger the body’s ‘purging’ response so that it eliminates injured tissues and dead skin cells that may be stuck deep within the skin’s surface. The IPL skin care treatments are typically conducted as a series of treatments at three week intervals, and the skin begins to take on a more youthful and clear appearance after the first few sessions.

Question: What is Intense Pulse Light Laser?

Question: Do laser treatments hurt?

 Technology surrounding laser hair removal has come along way. Laser hair removal, and (IPL) skin rejuvenation  is virtually pain free, it is considered to be a non invasive procedure.

Question: What are cancellation and refund policy's?

  We do require 48 hour business day notice if cancellation is needed. Please note a $25.00 short notice fee may be charged for all cancellations.

  Vidanta laser spa has a strict NO refund policy after services are provided. This includes packages, If packages are purchased you must continue each of your appointments on a 4-6 week rotation, or as advised by your laser technician. Please be sure to use all treatments within 12 months from original purchase date for optimal results.

    If no service has been rendered and you require to cancel an appointment, you may also request a refund for your single treatment or package with 72 hour business day notice. This only applies to all unused services. 

Question: Should I do any thing Before and after Eye lash extensions ? 

 Pre Treatment instructions:

 

1. Arrive with no make up

2. No mascara or eye liner

3. Shampoo Hair Prior to appointment

4. Allow 1-2 hours for procedure

 

 Post Treatment instructions:

 

1. No water on eyes for 24 hours

2. No Hot tubs, Saunas, Hot yoga for 48 hours

3. No Eye lash curlers

4. No Waterproof Mascara

5. No oil or oil-based products on eyelids

Question: After Dermaplaning will my hair grow thicker or darker​?

  No, Dermaplaning will not cause Vellus hairs to grow back coarser, thicker or darker.  We will carefully, only be taking off Vellus hair which are very soft and like "Peach fuzz". Removing them does not alter the texture or size.  

What are some tips to keep my lashes looking fresh?

​

1. Don't sleep face down 

Doing so will crush and make your lash extensions go out of shape. Try to sleep facing up or sideways.

 

2. Goodbye Mascara 

Mascara contains oils and waxes. Lash extensions should not come in contact with oil as it will melt the glue and loosen the hold.

 

3. Apply Eyeliner Sparingly

You want to keep your lash extensions clean and clear of gunk to prolong the time they spend on your lashes.

 

4. Stash the Lash Curler

Lash extensions are durable but not indestructible. 

 

5. Blow Dry with Cool Air 

 No water on your lashes 24 hours after they are lashed. However after washing your lashes with Oil-free eye cleaner, you can use a blow dryer on a cool setting to fan your lashes back in place. 10 seconds on each eye. 

Question: How will Dermaplaning help my skin?

Question: Is their any down time after Dermaplaning?

No there is no down time after Dermaplaning considering it is a non invasive procedure. However, Clients should not:  

​

1. wax or thread 7 days pre/post. 

2. Must not be on blood thinners

3. Have no active acne

4. No filllers 2 weeks after Dermaplaning.  

5. Must not be on accutane for 6 months before treatment 

​

We also recommend booking a touch up every 2-4 weeks or as needed to keep your skin radiant and glowing.
